The answer is that it depends. Hospice is put in place when a patient has six months or less to live and that is determined by a doctor in order to certify it. If you have a terminal illness or Alzheimer’s you may very well qualify, but you will need to be approved first.
Hospices will send out a doctor to see you and admit you in the event you do qualify.
